To celebrate the inaugural Innisfree Festa and the grand opening of its debut store in Singapore, Innisfree invited its global brand ambassador, Lee Min Ho for a short visit to grace the event on December 17.

The brand name originated from William Butler Yeats' poem, 'The Lake Isle of Innisfree' which emphasizes the ability of nature to restore the human spirit, in a place where life is simple and surrounded by the beauty of mother-nature. Although the first store in Singapore only opened last month, Innisfree has long been known for its products which are made with natural ingredients from Jeju island. The eco-friendly brand uses recyclable materials and biodegradable soy ink as part of its beautifully minimalistic packaging. The products are also free from animal ingredients, artificial colourants and pore-clogging mineral oils.

With Innisfree experiencing tremendous amount of success in and outside of Korea, Lee Min Ho felt very happy and blessed to be appointed as their global brand ambassador. Although he was tired, having just completed the highly-rated He who wishes to wear the Crown, endure its weight: Heirs drama filming in Korea last week, Lee Min Ho claimed that he had a good rest since his arrival the night before, welcomed by more than 2,000 fans who had staked out at the airport.  He was all smiles at the brief press conference as he fully appreciated the change in weather from winter-cold Seoul to summer-warm Singapore.

Having been appointed its global ambassador since February 2012, Lee Min Ho chose Innisfree's cleansing foam as the must-have item when he said "I always use make-up in my work, so the cleansing foam is a necessity." He also exercises regularly to maintain his good looks, especially before filming any new drama. Being one of the top Hallyu stars with fans all over the world, Lee Min Ho wants to be known as an actor who puts in a lot of effort to produce better work for his fans to enjoy.

When asked to comment on which character is closer to his heart - Boys Over Flowers' Gu Jun Pyo or Heirs' Kim Tan, he joked "There are definitely similarities between myself and both characters, but I can better relate to Kim Tan, especially on the hairstyle"

Revealing the most creative gift that he had ever received from a fan, he laughed "Not too long ago, I was given a mobile phone which had a registered line and one phone number (belonging to the fan) that was already stored inside. Till now, I still don't know what to do with the phone."

With Christmas round the corner, though Lee Min Ho prefers a snow-white Christmas, he stressed that it is more important for everyone to spend this festive season with our loved ones wherever we are, be it snowing or not. As for his coming plans, Lee Min Ho will be attending a few fan meetings in various countries, shooting some commercials before embarking on his new film Gangnam Blues in the second quarter of 2014.

To commemorate the event, International Marketing Director Mrs. Koo Ae-ran, Manager of Innisfree Marketing Innovation Team Mrs. Kim Yun Hye and Lee Min Ho each watered a green tea plant to signify Innisfree's promise to spread green beauty in Singapore, delivering the natural benefits of Jeju directly to local consumers.

All too soon, his short 10-minute appearance was over, although everyone had waited for more than an hour, due to the early invite time stated by the PR agency. However, Lee Min Ho's charms more than compensate for the long wait, especially when he thanked everyone for their support and love, claiming he'll be back with a better look and better production in the coming year, not forgetting his "I LOVE YOU" spoken in perfect English!
