T-ARA, the Ladies Who Never Gave Up Even with the Numerous Scandals They Went Through, Comes Back Stronger

Scandals are not a best friend; whether you are a male or female, it can ruin the image of a company as well group. Though the scandal, rather it be huge or little, the group can somehow pull together and gain fans as well as keep them. One group that has done this is ladies group T-ara.

Rough 2013

The ladies of T-ara had numerous scandals during the year 2013. T-ara had accusations of "bullying" their former member Hwayoung which is of course not true. All of the ladies loved Hwayoung and never bullied her. Numerous hate comments regarding about the girls were on Korean websites. Plus they were the most searched.

When the ladies made their comeback return for "Number 9," the girls received numerous negative comments when they announced their goodbye promotion. Through South Korea's online news media Naver as well as from another named One Hallyu, these comments started spreading to various news media sites.

Why all the hate for this girls? Give them a break. The comments from netizens were "What ends with Ra~ Clara, T-ara, Kara's Goo Hara, all of you 'stop coming out-ra'~ (geuman nawara)." This comment right here does not even make sense, I do not even know what this netizen was thinking when he/she wrote this. Sure you see the word T-ara and the netizen saying that they should "stop coming out" though the netizen did not have to refer the girls to Clara or even KARA's Goo Hara.

"Wait, what did they even promote that they're saying goodbye to?" is another netizen that clearly did not know what song they were promoting. The ladies always strives hard whenever they do a comeback. Though for this netizen who said, "You worked hard, T-ara!! Hope to never see you again!" clearly dislikes the group and does not care about how hard they work when they do a performance.

Other netizens truly dislike the group that they permanently want the group to disband or disappear which is what one said by saying, "Can we get a real goodbye please?" Clearly we can see that there are some netizens who like and dislike T-ara. Though the ladies never gave up and always kept their head held up high and comes back stronger each time. You can see this with their recent songs, "What Should I Do" and "Number 9."

Bullying Scandal

News media Allkpop featured an article about the ladies appearing on a television broadcast named "Beatles Code 2." The broadcast was aired on May 6th which showcased about the scandals and comments that the girls received.

First one to come forward and speak up was Hyomin by her saying, "There were rumors that I was a thug when I went to school. I just hung out with kids who weren't the nicest kids, but that was it. There are also rumors that I was forced to move schools because I had hit another student. I never hit anyone. I'd rather someone come out and say that I hit them." She said that she will never hit someone as well as explained the reason which was that "she has moved schools" numerous times. We have all experienced this at some point in our lives right? Moving to another school and leaving our friends and then starting over to make new ones; it is difficult. I know why Hyomin will feel like this because it is never easy to adjust by moving and making new friends. Hyomin further explained about what her mother said by saying, "My mom decided that I should switch schools because she wanted to pursue a better education for me. It's not related to violence at all. The reason why I didn't say anything back then was because I didn't want people to look down on my friends because of me."

Remember Hwayoung and how news media in Korea and even here in the United States spread like wildfire about her leaving the group? Well, the girls came forward about this by saying that they did have an "argument" with her. But they never bullied her. Eunjung explained by saying" People might think so if you just read everything that's online. But even I was rumored to being bullied. To be honest, we had an argument with Hwayoung for about 2 days during the incident. But it was wrong of us to publicly make statements through Twitter. It was wrong to write about the topic, period. The more we stayed silent, the rumors and misunderstandings kept growing. It was so bad that even we were getting confused. I thought I'd lived without any regrets, but I was pained because I felt I'd become a bad person." Along with Eunjung, the girls truly felt sorry for what they did when they posted on their personal social networking site "Twitter." They should have kept it to themselves but instead decided to do this not knowing that news media's will see this. The ladies truly learned from this when it comes to posting about their personal lives on SNS. They will now think before typing. So women and gentlemen, please be sure to think before typing on your social networking site as well.

The Dreaded Hate Comments

Hate comments; don't you just hate them? T-ara has also received numerous comments from netizens. With all these issues from Hwayoung to negative responses, I am surprised with how the girls can sleep and manage to come out strong. I will be tossing and turning during my sleep and will even go to the highest peak of a mountain and scream just to feel a little better.

Eunjung explained on how they deal with it by saying, "Whenever articles about us come out, we get a ton of hate comments. At first, I just read it out of curiosity... but I can't read it anymore because the more I read, the more energy I lose." Trust me Eunjung, I would too. Your not the only one. I will be tired, weak, depressed, and any other word to describe about being in pain.

Then Hyomin came to say, "The worst one was when Soyeon unni got into a car accident, and someone wrote, 'she should have just died'. There were others who said the entire accident was made up. It was such a bad accident that she got tossed out of the car." Such heartless people, why will they say this about Soyeon. I am glad that she did not die during that accident. You stayed strong and healed!

There was a "Music Bank controversy" and Hyomin continued by explaining about this. "After we argued in Japan, we had a 'Music Bank' schedule right away. It was so awkward. After we came back to Korea, we had a conversation with Hwayoung for about 40 minutes. I didn't want to have fights when it was a stage we were dreaming of. After Hwayoung left, we had an official schedule, but we couldn't say anything because of the circumstances. We wanted to say something so badly that it even came out in our dreams. I just wanted to say two things: 'I'm sorry, and I'll work harder'. But if we tried to explain ourselves back then, the situation would have just gotten worse. But we really wanted to. We wanted to admit the parts that were true, that they weren't false, and then take time off to self reflect. But in the end, we just became the kids who didn't care." Well the ladies have truly matured. This was a good idea to come forward because it is never good to keep something like this huge to yourself or amongst the group. Now the ladies feel better when they did this on the television broadcast on May 6th.

The group truly feels sorry about their former member Hwayoung. If Hwayoung decided to go back with the group, the girls will definitely be happy to make her part of the group again. This is what Jiyeon said on that episode by saying, "We had been together for over 3 years, so Hwayoung might have had difficulties being with us. She probably had a hard time adjusting."

The other ladies also agreed with Jiyeon by saying, "If we truly hated her, we wouldn't have even argued. But we disappointed her and made her feel lonely. No matter the reason, we're sorry and also apologize to have created a disturbance as public figures."

This is correct right, if you truly care about someone, you will argue with that person like say your best friend because you do not want your friend to do the same mistake again. If you do not care, why even bother arguing, you will just let your friend keep making mistakes. Do not make your friends feel lonely, always be there for them which is what the ladies of T-ara did with Hwayoung.

Here is the video from the episode when the ladies explained about the scandal as well as the negative comments they went through.

This brought tears to my eyes. Truly the ladies did not have to go through this scandals. Fortunately, the girls overcame this and moved on by staying strong.

I am amazed on how T-ara has come out stronger and more mature after all these scandals and comments that they received this year. I applaud all of the ladies and will even give them hugs because they never gave up and went through all of the obstacles that they faced. Look at them now, they have two hit songs which are "Number 9" and "What Should I Do." Plus, they have a mini-album as well for this year!

Great job T-ara! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2014! I expect to see more great songs and hope not to see any more scandals from them.
