Carrie Underwood's "Sound of Music" seems to be both a blessing and a curse for the "American Idol" alum as her busy schedule seems to be getting in between her marriage with husband, Mike Fisher.

Star mag reported that the couple has been driven apart by their hectic schedules.

"Between his schedule with the Nashville Predators and her rehearsals, they barely saw each other the last three months. When they did steal some alone time, Carrie was wiped out physically and emotionally. The ordeal left Mike feeling neglected and ignored," the magazine reported, quoting a friend of the singer.

More than the busy schedule, however, her husband was seething when she reportedly broke her promise that they would start a family together after she received more offers for musicales after "Sound of Music."

"Mike is fuming. Carrie is thrilled about all the opportunities but she's very conflicted and confused. She and Mike are barely speaking," the magazine added.

Carrie Underwood's performance as Maria Von Trapp in the live performance of "Sound of Music," which aired on NBC on December 5, was both panned by both critics and the original cast in the 1965 film starred by Julie Andrews.

Kym Karath, who played Gretl Von Trapp, tweeted after watching Underwood perform that that she was "disappointed."

"Must admit some scenes are actually painful to watch...Love Carrie Underwood but this role is just not right for her. She is lovely her voice is beautiful but acting is wrong," Karath tweeted.

The ratings, however, told otherwise as the live show delivered in the ratings game plus the DVD recording already reached 22 million viewers.

Underwood also tweeted after the airing that she considered her role as a blessing.

"Glory to God tonight...I couldn't be more proud. What a tough thing to pull off and we did it! I am so blessed!!!" Carrie tweeted afterwards.
