K-Pop Crossover: Rihanna Contemplates Two New Album Releases In 2014 As Trouble Maker Cover 'Birthday Cake'

As Rihanna continues to dominate the charts, there are rumors that "The Monster" wants to have two new album releases in 2014.

"The plan is to put two records out. Rihanna wants big hits on both the albums," said a source to The Sun.

Unlike previous years when Rihanna would release a new album every year, the Barbadian songstress has been busy on her world tour in support of her 2012 album, "Unapologetic."

Which is not say Rihanna has been off the grid by any means. Her collaboration with Eminem on "The Monster" has hit number one worldwide.

"The Monster" marks Rihanna's 13th Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, tying her with Michael Jackson for the third most number ones in the chart's history.

Rumors are swirling that in addition to new album plans in 2014, Rihanna will also appear on a new single with Shakira for the Latin singer's upcoming studio album.

If Rihanna manages to pull off releasing two major new albums in one year, no doubt the singer will continue to be provocative and sexually daring.

As an example of what 2014 may bring for Rihanna fans, check out K-pop duo Trouble Maker's cover of Rihanna's controversial single "Birthday Cake," which also featured her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.
