TVXQ’s Tokyo and Kyocera Dome Concert Sold Out 300,000 Tickets in 2 Minutes!

TVXQ proves their immense popularity in Japan. The duo has proven to be a blockbuster seller as Tokyo Dome concert from April 14-16 sold out in 30 seconds.

The tickets were up for sale on April 1 and within a mere 30 seconds all of the tickets for the three concerts were sold out. Also the Osaka Kyocera Dome from April 21-23 these tickets also have been gone within two minutes. Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome can seat each 55,000 and 36,477 so the performances of 165,000 tickets and 109,431 were all sold out in 2 minutes.

Fans have been scrambling to get tickets. The tickets originally priced between 8,500 Yen to 9,500 Yen however as demand increased scalp tickets are selling 10 times the regular price nearing 80,000 Yen which is about $1,020 USD. The original Tokyo Dome was only scheduled for two days however due to the demand of fans TVXQ added an extra date, however fans are still demanding for additional performances.

This part of their fifth Japan concert ‘Live Tour 2012: Tone’ that began back in January this was their solo concert since 3 years. The tour has been garnering large interest with total attendance of entire tour is expected to be over 600,000 fans. The original concert was scheduled to cover 20 shows throughout 9 cities over 3 months. As tickets sold out in record time for the concerts additional stops were added bringing total of 26 performances in 11 cities.

The duo has also been busy performing in different concert venues not only limited to Japan, last month the group performed at ‘2012 Hong Kong Asian-Pop Music Festival.’

TVXQ topped Oricon daily single and weekly chart with their digital single ‘STILL’ released on March 14. This has allowed the duo to set a new record of Oricon chart by obtaining 10 singles to rank #1 in the chart’s 45 year history.

Their upcoming performance in their Japan tour is at Tokyo Dome on April 14-16 followed by the finale performance at Kyocera Dome for three days on April 21-23.
