Michael Schumacher Birthday Celebrated By Fans Outside The Hospital Where He Is Admitted; Fans From All Over The World Join Celebration

Formula One legend Michael Schumacher turned 45 today and just usual, he has received a lot of fans and tributes from his fans and families. However, this time is a lot different. He isn't aware that it is already his birthday and he has no idea what he is getting from his supporters.

The seven-time racing legend remains in a coma, five days after getting into a freak accident while skiing in French Alps. Schumacher is staying at the Grenoble University Hospital Center in France and doctors said that the racing icon is now in better condition but he has to remain asleep for the mean time.

"His condition remains stable this morning. At the moment this is good news but I don't want to go into further prospects as it is too early. He is still in an artificial coma," his agent Sabine Kehm told the media outside of the hospital.

With the fact that Schumacher cannot celebrate his special day, his fans troop to the French hospital to send their "get-well-soons" to one of the world's greatest F1 drivers. The legend's family, who on Thursday posted in Schumacher's page that "he will not give up," was so overwhelmed by the act of his fans. On the website, Schumacher's family said:

'The incredible sympathies shown today by the Ferrari Fans outside the hospital has utterly overwhemed us and moved us all to tears."

'We are deeply grateful for it and also for all the heartwarming and heartfelt wishes for Michael to get well soon, which have reached us from all over the world.'

Well-wishers displayed banners carrying images and Schumacher and Ferrari, the brand he mostly represented, at the hospital's parking lot while others waved red flags displaying Ferrari logo and the driver's face. Other fans from Germany and Asia wore shirts and caps similar to what the F1 driver donned during his competitions and posted them on social media.

Some fans and clubs also invited other racing enthusiasts to join a vigil to pray for the German racer. English football club Arsenal posted a photo showing their support for the unconscious legend.

Ferrari also released a statement saying:

"Today is Michel Schumacher's birthday. In these hours he's on the most important race of his life and we want to dedicate a special honor to him. Forza (Come on) Michael!"
