EXO's Suho Appears with Korean President Park Geun Hye at the Seoul Arts Center in Honor of the Group's Success in 2013

On January 3, EXO leader Suho appeared beside South Korean President Park Geun Hye at the Seoul Arts Center.

During a New Year's greeting and short speech about the advancement of the arts in 2013 and South Korea's investment in the future of cultural artistry in the coming year and beyond, Suho stood alongside the President as she addressed the media and attendees at the annual event.

The Seoul Arts Center's 2014 kick-off soiree was attended by influential media and entertainment professionals as well as some of the nation's greatest cultural icons and artistic minds.

Suho was given the honor of participating in the event and appearing with President Park to honor the immense success of his group EXO in 2013.

With a couple number one hits, and the release of their first full-length album, the young idols became the first group in a dozen or so years to sell over a million copies of their album, a particularly large feat considering the high rates of pirating and music streaming services.

EXO is a 12-member Chinese-Korean boy band that debuted in April 2012 under Korea's biggest record label SM Entertainment.

The group released their first studio album, XOXO, in June and a repackaged version two months later in August. EXO took home the Mnet Asian Music Award this year for Album of the Year and won the MelOn Music Award for Song of the Year with the single "Growl."

SBS news program 'Morning Wide' also did a feature on the EXO and their banner year in 2013, which you can watch below.
