After performing a private concert on New Year's Eve for Las Vegas head honchos, Katy Perry was offered a mini-residency at the Axis, a new theater at Planet Hollywood, while her fellow singer Britney Spears is on a break from her one hundred date residency during the next two years.

According to the  Las Vegas Sun , Perry was approached by Caesars Entertainment executives with the opportunity on Tuesday.

“We would love it if we could welcome Katy to the new Planet Hollywood theater,” one entertainment VP said to the publication.

The exec said Perry took a liking to the new theater after seeing Spears' concert.

“She told us she loved the theater and seeing Britney perform there on opening night," they said. "We have a number of stars in our sights and expect to announce future performers in the next two months.”

Supposedly, Perry's private concert in Vegas consisted of her singing while jump-roping, accompanying herself on a guitar, greeting guest during music breaks, and giving a fan a high-five.

“She put on an incredible show. It would be another big hit at Planet Hollywood if it can be worked out before or around her upcoming global tour," said another Caesars exec. "Katy impressed all of us with her personality and professionalism. She loved being part of our Caesars family for the New Year. Hopefully it can continue.”
