Big Bang Crowned ‘Double Platinum’ in Taiwan Without Any Promotion

Group Big Bang was crowned ‘double platinum’ in Taiwan.

Big Bang’s music distributor in Taiwan, Warner Music shared, “Big Bang achieved ‘double platinum’ in Taiwan.” This is a splendid feat as Big Bang has never visited Taiwan.

Not only that Big Bang recently topped various important Taiwan music charts spreading the dignity as artist representing Korea.
In Taiwan’s ‘G-Music,’ ‘Five Music’ ranked first as best-selling album for one week amongst K-Pop albums. Especially in ‘G-Music’ the album sales accounted for 22.28% of all album sales for the website.

Big Bang also showed a strong impact even in mobile music chart. Ranked first on ‘eZPeer’ in K-Pop digital album weekly chart and ‘Blue’ from 5th mini-album ranked first on ‘Taiwan Mobile’ chart.

Moreover local music TV channel ‘Taiwan MTV’ topped the weekly K-Pop chart with ‘Bad Boy.’

Warner Music shared, “Big Bang’s popularity in Taiwan is so high that there is lack of album we might put in additional order for the album.”

In this way Big Bang’s 5th mini-album ‘Alive’ saw great response not only in Korea but all over the world as well. Recently the music video of ‘Blue,’ ‘Bad Boy,’ and ‘Fantastic Baby’ is to have surpassed a atotal of 40 million views.

Big Bang is to hold their first visit to Taiwan for two days on April 9-10 as part of their promotion.
