SM Entertainment rookie idol group EXO-K marked their first debut performance.

The group performed their title song ‘MAMA’ and ‘History’ on SBS ‘Inkigayo’ aired on April 8.

Before going on stage the group held a short interview with the MC Goo Hara, Nicole and IU, the members seemed nervous as they weren’t able to speak properly.

In particular EXO-K member D.O. even became speechless almost causing a broadcast accident which was smoothly passed through the MC’s wittiness.

However once on stage EXO-K seemed to change 180 degrees, fitting to be SM’s ambitiously anticipated group the group performed a powerful choreography and vocal fitting to the strong beat of the song.

EXO-K members after the performance shared, “It was nerve wrecking since it was our first stage.”

Members added, “It was great strength to see so many fans that came to support us. We will work even harder. Please send us a lot of love and support.”

EXO-K made their showcase debut along with EXO-M on March 31. The group name ‘EXO’ comes from EXOPLANTE, an unknown planet outside the solar system indicating they are the new star that comes from un unknown world.

EXO-K consists of Suho, Kai, Chanyeol, Sehun, Baekhyun, D.O. and EXO-M members are Kris, Luhan, Tao, Lay, Xiumin, and Chen.
