Nicole Leaving KARA? Japan Media Abuzz

Girl group KARA member Nicole's contract with DSP Media is ending, and there's a big question mark as to what's going to happen. Her 7-year contract with the agency is ending on the 15th, and Japanese media is already establishing that she will be leaving the group for sure. However, the agency has expressed desire to extend her contract, and fans are all anxious to find out what's going to happen for sure.

On the 10th a Japanese news source "Tokyo Sports" reported, "Nicole has disappeared from KARA's group picture from Android smartphone app 'I Love Music,'" and that Nicole's withdrawal from the group has been reported.

The Korean company KT Korea Telecom, which is in charge of the game in Japan, explained, "Since Nicole's contract with DSP is ending on the 15th, we decided to respond quickly." In response to this news, KARA fans in Korea and Japan have been petitioning in hopes of keeping KARA on time.

Still, DSP is showing a cautious attitude regarding this manner. An agency rep cautiously stated on the 13th, "Since there are still things that have been put in concrete, I can't say anything for sure right now." In regards to the edited photo in the gaming app the rep said, "It was a mere accident. The photograph was immediately republished."

However there's still no saying what Nicole, who debuted with KARA in 2007, will do about her future. Recently Nicole had written on her Twitter, "Since I started as a member of KARA, I want to end as a KARA member. Although I won't be an artist of the agency, I'm trying to find a way to stay in the group, who I've been with for so long." Fans no doubt are hopeful that the 5-member group can stay that way as well.

KARA members didn't participate in the January 13th shooting of MBC's 2014 special "Idol Star Athletics - Track and Field, Archery, Futsal, and Curling Championships, and instead of been attending to their individual activities.
