Every year since 1990, TC Candler has released the Independent Critics List of the 100 Most Beautiful Faces, and on January 12 they officially revealed their first ever list of the 100 Most Handsome Faces, a collection of the world's most attractive men.

The lists include a variety of famous actors, singers, models, and other entertainment professionals from around the world that have been narrowed down from an original collection of tens of thousands of faces.

Each year the Independent Critics have taken suggestions from across the globe and have evolved their list of the most beautiful and the result has been called "the most interesting and original list of its kind." The foray into the cataloguing the world's most handsome faces is equally exciting and intriguing.

TC Candler says their yearly lists are very different from others that tend to come out around this time of year.

"Unlike many other annual publications, The Independent Critics List is not a popularity contest. It is not about the sexiest or the most famous. Rather, it aims to be a very international list and one that is inclusive of many cultures, lifestyles, professions and degrees of fame. The Independent Critics List intends to inform public opinion rather than reflect it," explained the TC Candler website.

"This list searches far and wide, listening to the millions of suggestions submitted every year, and tries to put together a list representative of the modern ideal of aesthetic beauty."

The newest list was revealed on January 12 and includes men from 25 different countries.

As with the popular Most Beautiful Faces list, TC Candler says, "That number should go up every year as the list grows and expands."

For the first installment of the Most Handsome Faces, seven Korean entertainers have found their places among the world's attractive elite from Super Junior's Siwon at number seven down to number 91, actor Lee Byung Hun.

2PM member Taecyeon, Big Bang's Taeyang, and international star Rain are the additional representative K-Pop entries on the list, coming in at numbers 13, 33, and 46 respectively.

Korean-American model Dennis Oh (number 66) and 40-year-old actor Lee Jung Jae (number 40) round out the Korean entires to the Independent Critics first collection of male faces from around the globe.

The lists of handsome and beautiful faces is an ongoing project that openly welcomes suggestions from viewers across the globe and suggestions and opinions from the public are strongly encouraged.

"There is no need to suggest a meg-star or someone that is on the list already. New names are very welcome indeed. We want to add to our extensive database," explained the list's creators.
