Joseph Gordon-Levitt Hitrecord TV Makes Premier In Sundance; Looper Gets Emotional During Post Screening Q&A. Find Out Why

Hitrecord TV, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's highly talked-about show, has made its premier at the Sundance Film Festival at the Library Center Theatre in Park City in Utah. The Looper and 500 Days of Summer actor lead the presentation and he was accompanied by executive producers, Brian Graden, Jared Geller and Gaurav Misra wherein they participated in several activities.

Levitt seems to have enjoyed every bit of the event as he danced along with tap-danced a musical number with Tony Danza, played piano and drums, and sang a song with a performer from Finland, Peppina, who he discovered online.

During his speech while presenting Hitrecord TV to the audience, he revealed the concept of the show's first three episodes. The first one, which has already been shown on YouTube earlier this year is titled "One." The second is called "Fantasy" and while the third is called "Trash." He also said that the show will have "plenty of TV shows, features, documentaries, and bigger and live events" and he is hoping that someday, his Hitrecord TV will become as big as the animation studio Dreamworks.

JGL turns emotional

At the post-screening Q&A, things got more serious when Levitt was asked by one of the guests why about his late brother who is fondly called Burning Dan. The 32-year old actor said that his brother, who died at the young age of 36, "wanted people to try something they didn't think they could do."

"If someone wanted to write but didn't think they could show it to somebody else, if somebody sang but didn't want anyone to hear it, he wanted people to have a place to do it."

He was teary-eyed and was struggling to mouth some words. Still, Levitt continued and said:

"We try to do it with such warmth and encouragement because that's what he always did, more than I."

"He would be so fucking happy to see all you guys here."
