World star Psy went to Switzerland as an ambassador for Davos Forum's "Korea Night" event.

On January 20th it was revealed that Psy left for Switzerland through Incheon airport. He was chosen as an ambassador for "Korea Night," an event hosted by Davos Forum in Switzerland.

Previously the Federation of Korean Industries revealed that that preceding the 4 day event titled '44th World Economic Forum" (Davos Forum) would be taking place on the 22nd. The "Korea Night" event was scheduled to take place on the 21st at the Belvedere Hotel in Davos to inform global leaders about Korea.

Psy's 2012 hit song "Gangnam Style" music video currently has more than 1.8 billion views on YouTube, and holds the record for the Most Viewed music video on YouTube. His 2013 song "Gentleman" has more than 600 million views, and is currently on a long streak of making K-Pop even more popular globally with his songs.

As a result, Psy was invited to take on the ambassador role at this "Korea Night" event. He is expected to introduce the creative economy model of K-Pop through YouTube to the global leaders.

"Korea Night" is an event that has been held since 2009, and global leaders are invited to participate in the forum by Davos Forum. This year there is expected to be around 400 people in attendance. South Korean president Park Geun Hye will of course attending this event. It's highly likely that that Korean president and Psy will meet at this event held in Switzerland.
