EXO is the reigning king of K-Pop idol stars. Last year, they swept all four major broadcaster's Award of Excellence. Their wide-spread hold over the K-Pop scene is largely in thanks to a large number of national and international fans. Each member of EXO can stand alone as a solo star with thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of fans supporting them due to the fact that they have unique talent and personalities that work well with each other.

Their debut was as two subgroups, EXO-K and EXO-M. They simultaneously debuted in Korea and China. Although their first efforts were a bit lackluster, when they came together for "Wolf", the full force of EXO was too much for any other K-Pop star to handle. Their continued success with "Growl" and many repackaged albums of their first full album, "XOXO", is a testament to their popularity. They were the first place on numerous music programs and received the "Award of Excellence", the highest award given to an artist or a group, from all four major broadcasting channels in Korea.

Their dominance reminds people of when the group H.O.T first took the stage. The entire nation was in love with H.O.T, and that's the way it is now with EXO. Although they were once labeled "mysterious" for not appearing on entertainment shows, they have begun their exposure on MBC Every1's "EXO's Showtime" to the delight of many fans.

Today's focus will be on Chanyeol, who has been visiting several other popular TV shows, including SBS's "Law of the Jungle". He's tall and good looking to the point of being called "pretty", but his deep voice is manly. Many fans call him "Beagle" because of his optimism and activeness.

The "Beagle family" consists of Chanyeol, Baekhyun, and Chen. Beagles are usually noisy and playful, and these three EXO members are the most active and positive among EXO. Chanyeol is especially loved by those around him, even the program staffs of the shows that he appears in, because of his friendliness and willingness to befriend anyone he meets, whether they are stars, staff, or viewers. His appearance on "Law of the Jungle" revealed that he was the one that gave energy to his elders when they were facing a difficult time. (For those of you who don't know, "Law of the Jungle" is a "survivor" type of program where a few celebrities try to survive in the wild)

Chanyeol can be found in all the "behind-the-scenes" clips of music programs. Recently, Chanyeol was caught on camera backstage while messing around with his suspenders on the behind-the-scenes- clip of Mnet "M Countdown". The members were preparing for the stage while Chanyeol was making them laugh. It was an interesting break from the normally charismatic and serious Chanyeol that the fans meet on stage.

An SM Entertainment executive stated, "Chanyeol is well loved by almost everyone he meets. He's bright, happy, and just gives off a positive aura to people around him. He never complains - even when he's cast for difficult shows like 'Rules of the Jungle'. His fans also love his playful demeanor."

The part that makes everyone surprised is that Chanyeol's pretty face belies his masculine voice. It is deep and manly, which is why Chanyeol is one of the most recognizable voices among EXO members.

He's six feet tall with a small baby face highlighted by his big eyes. He looks like he jumped straight out of a romance novel. The fact that he has a sweet, low-toned voice to match his tall and handsome figure makes his fans melt.

His lower voice allows him to rap in a lower tone. Some of his fans find his voice so loveable that they make a track only includes Chanyeol's voice. You can hear his voice on any EXO album, but a quick search on Google will allow you to experience his magical voice.

Not only that, but Chanyeol is a fantastic guitarist. He performed with his elder Oh Jong Hyuk on "Law of the Jungle" and was well received both on the program and by the viewers of the show as well. He is a better than average guitarist. So far, he's tall, handsome, has a great voice and is a fantastic guitarist - but wait, because there is more.

Chanyeol plays various instruments including the Djembe, drums, and bass. He loves playing instruments, so he takes time to learn them all when he has some free time. He has created logo songs for programs on the spot with just a guitar, so one can imagine his level of playing.

Chanyeol is also an excellent dancer. EXO members say that Chanyeol is the best dancer "not because of skill but because of his rhythm and feel for the choreography". They say his dancing skills, while not the best, is the most unique.

And there is yet more - Chanyeol may have been hinting at an acting career when he appeared on K-Will's "You Don't Know Love". His teary-eyed scene was well received. Chanyeol may also have a knack for acting.

Chanyeol is always the member that makes other members happy. He's called "Teeth-Rich" by the members because he smiles so often that his clean teeth are always exposed. His diverse talents are matched equally by his diverse array of nicknames.
