Denver Nuggets Javale McGee Gets Dating Advice From Mom Pamela; Mom Says His Son Game Is Weak If Does One Thing
Denver Nuggets center Javale McGee has been out of NBA actions for more than two months and for those who are addicted to his highlight and lowlight reels, two months feel like forever.
McGee, who is a regular in Shaquille O'Neal's Shaqtin a Fool, is someone that can get you glued to the TV whenever he's on the court. Now, that he is sidelined, that doesn't mean you have to miss him badly. You can check him in a reality show where he starts along with his mom, former WNBA player, Pamela McGee.
Mom's Got Game, which airs at the Orprah Winfrey Network, is as entertaining as Javale McGee's dunk shots, blocks, and bloopers. The former Los Angeles Sparks star player serves as the 25-year old Nuggets' agent. This means that she also handles his son's spending and off the court behavior, just like a normal mom. But for a 25-year old who earns a lot, it is nice that McGee still turns to his mom for dating advice. In Mom's Got Game's most recent episode, Pamela expressed her fears that Javale is squandering his money, especially on dating and girls.
"Wrap it up," she said during an interview with the Grio's Chris Witherspoon.
"Don't play about it, because child support for an athlete with the amount of money that my son makes... that's $12,000 a month. And if you got more than 1 then it becomes $24,000 a month. You pay child support for 18 years, and you might play basketball for four years... but you still owe that child support. That's another reason why athletes go broke."
She added, "if you got to use basketball to pull women, then your game is weak anyway."
Javale McGee seems to be following her mom's advice. He does not only manage his money well, he also picks the best gifts for the most deserving woman, his own mother.
On Pamela's birthday, Javale pulled a prank on his mom, calling her to say that he won't be able to celebrate it with her. But little does she know that there is a present waiting for he, something that she's been wanting for so long. Javale gave her mom a surprise gift of new black Porsche.
