Amoeba Culture Gracious To Simon D's Departure

Rapper Simon Dominic (better known as Simon D) is leaving the recording label Amoeba Culture, they announced on January 29th.

Simon D is officially leaving Amoeba Culture on January 31st to become a standalone hip hop artist.

Amoeba Culture added that they will miss Simon D, saying, "He's leaving Amoeba, but all of us will continue to support him. He is a loyal and trustworthy friend who will be able to progress and mature in both his music and other pursuits in the entertainment industry."

Simon D tweeted the following message on his Twitter on the same day: "My contractual obligations with Amoeba Culture ends on January 31st, 2014. I like to thank each and every member of Amoeba Culture for their unending support of me, and I ask that my fans continue their gracious support of me."

Simon D debuted in Korea's underground hip hop scene with the nickname "K-Outa". He met E-Sens in 2007 to create the duo Supreme Team and joined Dynamic Duo's Amoeba Culture in 2008. Simon D became a popular character through his various appearances on TV shows.

Hello, we are Amoeba Culture.

Our brother and friend Simon D who was with us for 6 years is now leaving to become an independent artist. It will be official on January 31st, 2014.

After much discussion with Simon D himself concerning his future. We ultimately came to the conclusion that as a 31-year old hip hop artist, the time if now-or-never if Simon D wanted to pursue a career as an independent artist.

Simon D has always been loyal and trustworthy and has an unquenchable work ethic, we expect his solo career to be a huge success.

He is leaving Amoeba Culture, but all of the Amoeba Culture artists will continuously root for him and show him unconditional support.

We ask all of you who are reading this letter to give special love and attention to Simon D's future endeavors.
