As of Friday afternoon, Jan. 31, the "Midnight Memories" music video on Youtube has almost 1.5 million views on the OneDirectionVevo channel, just five hours after being posted!

Directed by Ben Winston ("Story of My Life," "Best Song Ever"), the video opens with One Direction boys Louis, Niall, Zayn and Liam stuck at a boring party, until the DJ drops a vinyl of "Midnight Memories," which is Harry Styles' cue to come in and rescue the four X-Factor lads, The Hollywood Reporter writes.

They then leave the house party and head to an eatery called Kali Kebabs for late-night munchies, then enjoy the beauty of London by night.

"Midnight Memories" is from One Direction's third album with the same name, which was the top-selling album of 2013 in the U.K. and broke the Billboard record for being a musical act's third No. 1 album debut, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Liam recently posted a video of himself describing the new song, and said: "So our next single is going to be 'Midnight Memories,' which is actually the song that I wrote with Louis. This is the first song we wrote on the album, so this i s kinda like paved the way for the whole album oound and the way it all changes. . . It's all about the midnight memories - everybody's got 'em, so I hope you enjoy it!"
