From "Respond 1994" Concert To Il Divo, February Is Full Of Concerts

After a long Lunar New Year weekend, February greets us. As is common in February, the month of love, many concerts are lined up for music lovers everywhere. Most of February's concerts will cater to fandom, including the upcoming "Respond 1994" Concert.

"Respond 1994" Concert aims to follow up on the fan base that the drama series by the same name gathered. It will feature many of the actors and actresses from the drama as well as artists from the early 90's whose music was featured in the drama itself. Actors and actresses such as Do Hee, Go Ara, and Jung Woo will be joined by The Blue, Kim Jo Han, and 015B. The concert will be MC'd by Yoon Jong Shin and aims to fulfill the nostalgia introduced by "Respond 1994". It will be held on February 15th at Kyung Hee University's Hall of Peace.

On the same day KBS will hold a similar concert catered to the older generation with music from the 70's and 80's. KBS's "Respond Concert 7080 - I Miss You, Friend" will feature 80's rock bands such as N.ex.T, Song Gol Mae, and Deul Guk Hwa as well as 70's acoustic folk artists Sand Pebbles, Fevers, and Locust. This concert is aimed toward music lovers who are forty years or older.

On Valentine's Day, Kintex Concert Hall will feature the "Pitter-Patter Kiss Concert". Many skilled vocalists such as Ali, Baek Ji Young, Ailee, Hyorin, Wheesung, Jung Dong Ha, and Shin Yong Jae will perform. All proceeds will be donated to a charity.

Talented duo Yurisangja and pianist Yoon Han will also hold a Valentine's Day concert at An Yang and Seoul respectively, giving couples many options to choose from.

Lee Juk, who held a series of well-received concerts in February last year, will hold concerts in Pusan, Daejun, and Sungnam titled "2014 Lee Juk National Tour Concert: Before Sunrise". K.Will will also hold concerts in Ilsan, Daegu, and Pusan titled "K-Daebak Concert".

International stars are also making an appearance in Korea's concert scene. Japanese rockstars Orange Range are having a two-day concert on February 14th and 15th, while Scottish rock group Mogwai is performing on the 16th.

Avril Lavigne is coming to Korea to perform at Seoul Olympic Hall on February 19th. Il Divo, modern pop-opera group, will have their concerts later in the month in February 22nd and 23rd in Seoul and Kwangju.

Korean indie band 3rd Line Butterfly is having a concert with Belgian singer/songwriter Sioen on the 22nd. They will also perform in Belgium in April, which may introduce many Belgians to K-Pop music.

There you have it - if you're in Korea, make sure you hit up one of these venues.
