Perrie Edwards defended her wedding with Zayn Malik, saying that though they are young, they are ready to get married. Perrie Edwards and Zayn Malik are also celebrating Little Mix's album topping the US iTunes album chart this week!

Perrie Edwards told Access Hollywood during an interview with her Little Mix band mates that she is definitely ready for her wedding, despite some disbelievers doubting that she and Zayn Malik should take the next big step in their relationship, when Perrie is only 20 and Zayn just turned 21.

"We're young, but I think when you know, you know. We've been together for a while now, so it is nice," she said.

"The fans have been amazing, they are so supportive of us," she added, Sugarscape reports.

Little Mix have hit the number one spot on the US iTunes chart earlier this week with their newly released second album 'Salute', CapitalFM reports.

Zayn Malik took to Twitter to share his support of the Little Mix ladies.

"So proud of my baby!! Download the tune and keep it @ #1!! :)," Zayn tweeted last night, on Feb. 5.

His One Direction bandmate Niall Horan also posted to Twitter: "The lovely girls of @LittleMixOffic have are at #1 on the iTunes chart, you guys gotta keep it there for the week! It's a great album!"

Little Mix star Perrie and One Direction singer Zayn got engaged in August 2013, after dating for almost two years. Perrie first showed off her engagement ring at the world premiere of the band's documentary film "This Is Us 3D." They are planning on having their wedding in late 2014.
