Kate Upton Gets Courtside Marriage Proposal, But Justin Verlander Wasn’t The Pitcher; Screwball Play Hits Twitter

Kate Upton is too hot to be left unattended. Really, if you're going out with Kate Upton and you're dong it in public, don't leave to get a beer. Someone is going to try and horn in on that date.

Kate Upton's hot date at the Orlando Magic game turned soft and cuddly. Kate was proposed to, probably propositioned too, but hey who wouldn't, before the seventh inning stretch. Upton happens to be dating a pitcher, Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers. But he wasn't the one who popped the question. Verlander stepped out for just a few seconds and his date with Kate Upton was hit with a screwball. But look at the size of that ring.

At a Super Bowl party last week Kate Upton and Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander went public with their relationship. The Sports Illustrated cover model was out with Detroit Tigers pitcher when Kate got a very public wedding proposal. Upton even got a huge engagement ring. Kate Upton didn't get proposed to by her date Justin Verlander.

At a basketball game Friday, the Orlando Magic mascot waited until Verlander went out for a hot dorg and asked Kate Upton to marry him.  It was sweet. It was funny.

Stuff, the Orlando Magic mascot, went straight for the Sports Illustrated model and proposed marriage. Everyone at the stadium and on TV caught it because the camera was on Upton the whole time. The fans thought it was funny. Verlander learned to hold it in.

Kate didn't say yes to marriage, but the ring ... she took that. Upton's mother didn't raise no fool. The ring, of course, was a gimmicky thing, bigger than a baseball. Upton posted a picture of the ring on Twitter.

Stuff, the Magic's mascot, also took to Twitter, tweeting: "She didnt say yes... and she didnt say no... so you're saying there's a chance!"

After the game, Upton coyly tweeted "Thanks @STUFF_mascot for the proposal tonight! Great game!"

Justin Verlander wrote "I was gone for 5 seconds!!"

But it was Stuff the Magic Dragon who blew the last blast "@JustinVerlander when you got it, you got it... sorry Verlander... boo thang--> @KateUpton."

The Orlando Magic beat the Oklahoma City Thunder by one point for a final score of 103-102.
