Gain Of Brown Eyed Girls Talks About Lee Hyori's Contribution To Her 'Truth Or Dare' Album

Lee Hyori may have retreated from the spotlight somewhat since her wedding to Rollercoaster guitarist Lee Sang Soon, but she is still playing an active role behind the scenes, first with her protégés, the five-member girl group Spica, and now for Brown Eyed Girls singer Son Gain.

Hyori, who has enjoyed a successful career as a solo artist after rising to fame with late 1990s girl group Fin.K.L, praised Gain's vocals in a behind-the-scenes video released last week by the Brown Eyed Girls singer's label.

In an interview with eNEWS on Saturday, Gain, whose new album "Truth Or Dare" was released on Wednesday, returned the favor, praising Lee for her easygoing nature and discussing the honor she felt having an artist she admired for so long write her a song.

"I had actually never met Hyori before, but she gladly decided to contribute her song ['Black and White'] when my company contacted her," Gain said.

"Even though Spica's song was released first, I recorded my song before them, so technically Lee Hyori first gave the song to me. It was meaningful to have someone I admire write a song for me."

The Brown Eyed Girls singer also discussed why she selected the provocative title of "Truth Or Dare."

"Everyone asks me why I chose this title, even though there aren't many rumors about me out there," Gain said.

"But I don't think the idea of truth and rumor only applies to celebrities. It applies to anyone. The title may seem a bit heavy, but it talks about ordinary things that can happen to ordinary people. I think if you watch the music video [for 'Truth Or Dare'], which was filmed in a fake documentary style, you'll see that it's witty and light music you can enjoy."
