While social networking sites do offer celebrities a chance to interact more frequently with their fans, it's also showing an increase in negative comments, sexual harassment, and celebrity suffering.

SNS have been used more widely because it gives celebrities an avenue to speak freely with their fans. However, celebrities are put in a negative position because of sexual harassment, hacking, and edited photos. Their agencies are determined to respond aggressively to these verbal/written harassments.

On February 9th 2PM's Taecyeon wrote on his Twitter, "Suing you both. I'll make you an example. I've endured and endured but I can't take it anymore. Don't expect mercy, I won't show it." He's continually been sexually harassed, and is determined to not let it go anymore.

A JYP rep stated on the 10th, "We're preparing to comply with Taecyeon's desires to sue. We plan to take aggressive legal action. We know that he's been suffering for a long time now from such negative comments."

Girl group Wonder Girls member Sohee also was tagged in obscene content on SNS for 1 year, and eventually decided to request a formal investigation.

Not only that, miss A's Suzy also filed a criminal complaint according to the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection Act against a net user who was posting photos that were digitally altered onto a portal site. Eventually "Cho" (age 17) was outed in July, and the investigation is still ongoing.

Nine Muses' Kyungri reported someone last June who was sexually harassing her through SNS. Kyungri's agency Star Empire accused the net users of violating the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection Act, and responded strongly. Kyungri and the agency both left warnings for the net user, but because of the continued harassment, they made the decision to respond with the law.

Block B's Jaehyo charged a net user last December, someone that had been sending obscene content to him. The agency stated that they would respond very aggressively, and revealed that Jaehyo had been receiving a steady number of such obscene content since October. They decided to report this serious matter to the police and charge the offender. The case was turned over to the sexual harassment force, and according to the agency, they "have no plans to settle."
