Girls Generation Vs 2NE1 – 2 Best Girl Groups Who Can’t Avoid Direct Competition

Girl groups Girls' Generation and 2NE1 won't be able to avoid confrontation, as they will both hold comebacks on the same day.

On February 13th YG Entertainment's main producer Yang Hyun Suk stated, "2NE1's 2nd full length album Crush will be released on the 24th through online music sites." Offline album sales are scheduled for the first week of March.

SM Entertainment also revealed Girls' Generation's comeback. Their 4th mini album Mr.Mr will be released on the 24th, and their title song of the same name will be pre-released online on the 19th.

Two of the biggest girl groups will be going head to head in this music battle, and it will be a huge deal to see which girl group's new song will receive more of the public's love.

Yang Hyun Suk revealed that 2NE1's new album has 10 songs. Besides the 1 song that was previously released in Japan and translated to Korean, the entire album is filled with completely new songs. CL herself wrote and composed 3 of the songs. 2NE1 invested a staggering amount of money for their music video. They revealed, "Since there are many post CG work still to be done, the teaser will be released on the 24th, and on 28th we will air the completed music video." Their new songs will be performed for the first time on March 1st and 2nd at their 'All Or Nothing' concert.

Girls' Generation's new song "Mr.Mr" is a dance song with an R&B sound. It is a work of world renowned producing team The Underdogs, who previously worked with some of the top stars, including Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, and Chris Brown.
