2NE1 VS Girls' Generation - All Out War?

The beacon has been lit, the gong rung and we can hear the war cries in the cold eerie distance. When the announcement came that two of Korea's biggest girl groups were both making a comeback fans rejoiced, SONEs had been eagerly waiting for announcement of a comeback since early January whilst 2NE1's severely delayed comeback was met with rejoice from Blackjacks.

However the announcement that both groups would make their comeback with about a week in between them soon turned the celebration sour as both Blackjacks and SONEs predicted who would win this comeback war. YG added more fuel to the fire retweeting an article which declared an all-out girl group war. This feud between Blackjacks and SONEs has now reached a point where music is not the focus but just simply a war of insults.

After watching this mess take place it brings about the question, why does it matter? Why can we not have more than one girl group on top. Both these groups have had immense worldwide popularity and success and no matter what anyone says no one can take that away.

Girls' Generation's title track "Mr. Mr.", which was produced by The Underdogs (Beyonce, Chris Brown, Jordin Sparks) will debut on the 19th whilst the mini-album will follow on the 24th. 2NE1's title track will have a reportedly 500 Million KRW ($496,000) production music video which will be released on the 28th with a teaser released on the 24th with the album CRUSH following soon after.

We will all be eagerly waiting to see who will win this was and at what cost. One thing is for sure both groups have worked extremely hard and are immensely talented.
