YG Entertainment to Step Up Its Game

YG Entertainment announced that they will be much more active this year in comparison to other years.

Yang Hyun Suk, popularized as YG's face and representative producer, stated via YG's official blog: "2014, more than other years, will be an important period for YG Entertainment. To put it rather harshly, what we do now will greatly impact and influence our agency for the next 10 years."

Park Soo Jung from 10 Asia organized a prospective of YG's plans for 2014:

January (Big Bang's 'BIGBANG + α IN SEOUL'):

Ever since 2009, Big Bang has held a concert at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium at the beginning of the year and is now being recognized as an annual event. Big Bang kicked off this year to an explosive start, with audiences finally being able to see the group perform together.

February (2NE1 + Winner):

YG's only girl group, 2NE1, will release their 2nd album titled 'CRUSH' on the 24th. The album is expected to have a total of 10 tracks, with leader CL responsible for composing and writing the lyrics to three songs. In addition, YG's new boy group Winner, who has amassed significant attention through the survival program 'Win', will debut this month.

March (2NE1's world tour):

In 2012, 2NE1 was the first Korean girl group to launch a world tour. Following up on that achievement, 2NE1 will start their second world tour. Starting in March 1st and 2nd in Seoul, they will move on to Japan, China as well as 9 other countries. They will visit 13 different cities with a total of 17 concerts. 2NE1 will be the first Korean girl group to host a '19+' after party at the conclusion of their tour.

April-May (YG Family):

YG Family concerts will be held on April 12th and 13th in Osaka, Japan in the Kyocera Dome as well as in the Tokyo Dome on May 3rd and 4th. More concerts will be held in Korea, China and nations across the world.

June-August (Big Bang's comeback):

Big Bang will brighten up this summer with their highly expected comeback.

?-December (Psy, Lee Hi, Akdong Musician...etc.?):

Other YG artists such as Psy, Lee Hi and Akdong Musician are preparing for their comebacks and debuts. In addition, 4 new groups are expected to become part of YG's artist roster.
