Ravenswood Cancelled, Stars Talk About Unemployment; Caleb And Hannah To Rekindle Romance In Pretty Little Liars Season 4?
ABC has officially cancelled supernatural drama Ravenswood. The show, which is a spin-off of Pretty Little Liars, was initially promised as a straight-to-series order last year, aired its final episode on February 4, attracting 1.4 million viewers, one of the few times that the show record such good viewing percentage. During the finale, a reunion of #Haleb was featured, will it be the last time?
In the wake of the bad news, main characters of the show took to Twitter to express their sadness and disgust over the show’s cancellation.
“Adieu, Ravenswood. Endless gratitude to all of you who supported us along the way. It was a fun ride! Now onto the next,” said Nicole Anderson who played Miranda.
Lead actor Tyler Blackburn has a more emotional tweet.
“Thanks for all of your supportive tweets! Onward and upwards. You never know when you’ll see me on screen again.”
Merritt Patterson likened the cancellation to death but said she was grateful to the show.
“RIP #Ravenswood An amazing experience shared with wonderful ppl!Grateful 4 the opportunity! Thx 4 all the support!”
“Yes. The news is true about @RavenswoodABCF, i had such an amazing time and experience. Thank you all. I love you,” Brett, who played Luke, tweeted. He added later, “Feel so grateful to have such amazing adoring fans. Your support is incredible. I love you all! #sparesomechange? #unemployed.”
Among these ‘left out’ characters, Tyler has highest chance of returning to television. Zap 2 It reported that Blackburn is being eyed to return to Pretty Little Liars.
“Fans of the romance between Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn), which has been torn asunder since Caleb left for the spinoff, will be happy to hear that he may be finding his way back to Rosewood now.
A source at ABC Family tells Zap2it that while nothing has been confirmed, "Pretty Little Liars" hopes to have Blackburn return.
Of course there are no details yet, but we would hope that the creators of both shows use his return to "Liars" to perhaps tie up some "Ravenswood" loose ends, at least in passing.”
