INTRO TO K-POP: "My interest in Asian cultures is what got me into K-pop," Wilson said. "I thought the music sound was really different from what was playing in America and I loved that. My earliest K-pop memory is discovering TVXQ and Super Junior. I would listen to their song 'Happiness' and the TVXQ song 'Balloons' almost every day."

FAN CREDENTIALS: "A friend of mine and I are in the process of starting a K-pop fan club for the Pittsburgh Area," Wilson said. "We're hoping that it will help bring fans together and also give us a way to express our love for the music."

WHAT MAKES K-POP DIFFERENT FROM OTHER POP MUSIC: "K-pop is different because it's so high energy," Wilson said. "There isn't a song I've heard since becoming a fan of K-pop that doesn't make me want to dance. Also my favorite part about it is how many boy bands and girl groups there are as well as solo artists. It gives you enough variety to find artists that you really love."

WHAT HER FRIENDS DON'T UNDERSTAND ABOUT K-POP: "The fans!" she said. "They don't understand the concept of having such strong biases and why we buy so much merchandise."

FAVORITE GROUP: Big Bang

WHY BIG BANG IS THE BEST: " Their music has gotten me through a lot of rough times," Wilson said. "I love that each member has their own unique sound when performing as a solo artist. And when you bring the five of them together, its even better. I think they're one of the pioneers in the modern K-pop scene, not just in music, but also in fashion."

BEST BIG BANG SONG: "Sunset Glow"

FAVORITE SOLO ARTIST: Lee Hi

WHY LEE HI: "She has such a soulful voice and she's adorable!" Wilson said.

FAVORITE LEE HI SONG: "Rose"

THE FUTURE OF K-POP: "K-pop has changed so much since I got into it back in 2006," she said. "The images and sounds have all progressed and I can't wait to see what the future holds. I also can't wait until more places in the US are holding concerts."
