The Reason Behind 2NE1's Confidence

There is a reason behind 2NE1's confidence. Having nothing to fear, they extended invitations to various reporters to their concert rehearsal. Girl group 2NE1(CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom, and Minzy) looked as if they had already ended their preparations to dominate the world and were simply just warming up for the task.

On the 20th at 3 P.M, the girls were at Gyeonggido, Ilsan's Kintex rehearsing for their opening concert that would kick-start their second world tour "All or Nothing". Their actual concert will be at the Olympic Park SK Handball Stadium on March 1st and 2nd.  In 2002, 2NE1's "New Evolution" was the first world tour to have ever been held by a Korean girl group. 2NE1 claims that this second continuation will be an upgrade, with them flaunting an improved performance and individual color that will capture the hearts of their fans.

Noticeable people that were present at the practice included YG Entertainment's director Jung Chi Young and worldwide recognized performance directors Travis Payne and Stacy Walker who have worked with Michael Jackson and Eminem in the past.

Even after the fact that it has been 2 years since their last world tour and 4 years since their last album, 2NE1 kept a smile on their faces throughout the entire time. Matching CL's upcoming birthday, 2NE1's new album Crush will be released online on the 26th.

Sports Seoul's reporter Oh Sae Hoon was at the rehearsal on the 20th and claims that, despite the major events ahead, 2NE1 had an aura of confidence, serenity and enjoyment. He has made a list of reasons why 2NE1 has amassed such confidence throughout the years:

1.     The importance of their album and the experience they have gained.

Even though it's been 6 years since 2NE1 has made their debut, this upcoming album is only their second official album. In other words, they have built up their career based on mini-albums and singles. Because they have released only one official album, the meaning and importance of a second one is heightened and greater in comparison to other groups. This places a heavy burden on them and therefore leads to extensive amounts of practice and preparation which in then leads to a strong confidence in their work.

In addition, 2NE1's experience in small and large stages as well as the synergy they have built together over the years adds on to their confidence. Also, their first world tour across Asia has strengthened their on-stage presence, endurance and energy.

2.     CL's compositions and Minzy's coming of age

The biggest change that 2NE1 is bringing forth this year is CL's debut as a composer and lyricist. She has composed a total of 3 songs including "Hope to Live" and "Baby I Miss You" for their second album as well as writing the lyrics to "Mental Breakdown" and "Scream".

Minzy, who recently turned 20, has shown changes in her physical appearance as she's starting to become an adult. She responds, "This is my first stage as an adult. Now that I'm slightly older, I feel like I have a better understanding in regards of performance. I will try and show the audience new and refreshing aspects of myself."

3.     Teamwork

YG's director Jung Chi Young said, "We have rehired the same staff that was responsible for 2NE1's first world tour. In order to upgrade the on-stage performance we have acquired all the best resources. Travis Payne and Stacy Walker, who are in charge of directing the performances, have expressed excitement to work with the group again especially after falling in love with their new songs."
