Which Group WIll Dominate The March Music Scene?

It has been predicted that the 2014 heated competition between several idols in the music scene will endure until March. Having started in January and persisting until February, the comeback of big name artists has amassed significant attention to the music market. Among these names, however, three of them stand out because of the date of their album releases and subsequent comebacks coincide.

B1A4, who managed to capture the hearts of the audiences, TVXQ, who satisfied their enormous fan-base, Girl's Day, who climbed up to the top of the music hierarchy, and B.A.P as well as AOA who, after 3 years since their debut, managed to win #1 on several music charts have been the names responsible for holding up the music scene. Following this flow, three well-known artists are expected to join the stage: Girl's Generation, 2NE1 and CNBLUE.

South Korea's representative girl groups Girl's Generation and 2NE1 had initially turned all heads their way when it was announced that their album release dates were both on the 24th. However, due to different reasons we will not be able to experience an overlap.

Girl's Generation, who had planned to release their title track 'Mr. Mr.' on the 19 and their 4th mini-album on the 24th, experienced a slight setback due to data loss of their 'Mr. Mr.' music video on the 14th.  As a result, their agency stated that they could not make an adequate comeback with the problems they have faced. They will officially be back after the music video is restored and the necessary retakes done.

2NE1 had originally planned to release their second album 'Crush' on the 24th. However, the date has changed to the 26th. "The reason for this", Yang Hyun Suk explains, "is to match the release date with CL's birthday, giving the date more significance."

'Crush' will have a total of 10 tracks, in which CL has composed and written 3. 2NE1 will comeback with double title tracks 'Come Back Home' and 'Gotta Be You' in addition to 4 music videos.

In contrast, CNBLUE changed their album release date to an earlier date. Originally aiming for the 25, CNBLUE had decided to change it to the 24th due to popular demand from fans. They will be promoting their 5th mini-album 'Can't Stop' through their title track of the same name. The song embraces a colorful band sound along with a string section.
