Piers Morgan Announces His CNN Show Is Cancelled: What Are Twitter Users Saying In Response?

Piers Morgan took to Twitter to announce his CNN show, "Piers Morgan Live," is being cancelled. What are Twitter users saying in response to the news?

Piers Morgan took to Twitter on Monday morning to address the news that his CNN show was being cancelled.

"Humbling to bring such happiness to so many people today. Coming 3rd, as I've always said, is not a trophy. #MorganOut #CNN." he tweeted, with a hint of self-deprecating humor.

"CNN confirms that "Piers Morgan Live" is ending," the network confirmed in a statement. "The date of the final program is still to be determined."

What have Twitters users said in response to the announcement? Let's just say the messages have been full of expletives and rants.

For some reason, Morgan re-tweeted this post from @BrettKellyy: "Haha @piersmorgan glad your shit show was axed. Ps HAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

@jimlockwoodshow wrote on Twitter: "You're welcome to come clean my studio toilets. Unlike you I still have a show @piersmorgan @JustEatUK"

To which Morgan repsonded: "Are they full of crap like you?"

When Morgan tweeted to @Support for help with a technical problem with his feed, Twitter users took the opportunity to suggest reasons why he was having mechanical issues with Twitter:

"because you've been cancelled," @Liquid_atheist wrote.

"Maybe you've been sacked from Twitter for being sh** as well?" @TheRealBrickTop tweeted without hesitation.

But fans of Morgan have stepped out to say that the TV presenter will bounce back quickly from the loss of a job.

@ABFalecbaldwin wrote: "I want to say to @piersmorgan, I hope you are back on the air very soon, wherever that may be..."

@BoyGeorge said: "Take it from me @piersmorgan they can't keep a good man down!"
