JYP Entertainment is popular in South Korea thanks to Mr. J.Y. Park who is the man that initiated this agency. Based in the metropolitan Seoul, South Korea where thousands of big stars live, JYP Entertainment is known in music industry as one that composes great music. With big idol names such as Miss A, 2PM, Wonder Girl's, 2AM, Sunmi, Park Ji Yoon, Rain, G.O.D., Baek Ah Yeon, and now GOT7; the agency is looking for young rising stars to bring a great image in-terms of the hard training put, composing fantastic songs, as well long hours to make sure that the single sounds great.

JYP Entertainment Auditioning Event

Saying I want to audition at JYP is easy; getting through by the representatives by them seeing something from a person that auditions is another story. Well, ladies and gentleman, your in-luck because representatives from the agency made an announcement that they are going to have an audition event or "session." The only thing though is that you have to be a young lad which is a teenager. Sorry adults is what JYP Entertainment will say. The reason why the agency is holding this audition this year for only teens is because your favorite stars are looking for fresh new young faces that will take the place of your aging idols; not only this, but the future of JYP Entertainment when it comes to this young people will continue on the legacy of J.Y. Park. This is why the record label is going to hold this "session."

One JYP Official said on the February 26th article on The Korea Herald, "2PM, 2AM, Wonder Girls, miss A, GOT7 and others are all K-pop stars who are not only popular in Korea but are loved internationally as well and we are looking to find those who are able to carry on the responsibility of JYP Entertainment’s future through the ‘2014 JYP Dream Teen Auditions'." The official then goes on to say, "We are really looking forward to seeing the talent and the passion of these young teens."

So What Years are They Looking for?

JYP Entertainment are looking at the years "between 1996 and 2003" in order for people that wants to attend as well "qualify" for this auditioning "session" that is going to happen this year. So people that are born between these years, if you fall onto these two, then you qualify to participate on JYP Entertainment's auditioning "session."

What Happens if you Pass?

The lucky people that passes the audition will definitely be excited. So, what happens when the person goes through the doors of JYP Entertainment? They are going to "receive formal training under JYP's training system." They are going to go through the rigorous training of sharpening their talent as well skills. Once completed and the trainer likes what they see, then they will sign a contract with one of the greatest record label as well agency; which will be JYP Entertainment by being "JYP's trainees."

Who will be the Judges?

Judges that will select the candidates to best represent JYP Entertainment in the future as well replace the members once they can no longer dance, will be ones that are great and knows what to look for in a potential rising JYP idol.

The stars that are going to select winners that are best for the agency was said by a JYP representative which was featured again on The Korean Herald on February 26th. The rep. said, "JYP Entertainment, which has produced K-Pop stars such as 2PM, 2AM, Wonder Girls, miss A, Got7 and others, will be selecting the new faces to represent JYP’s future through ‘2014 JYP Dream Teen Audition.’ We hope to see many talented and passionate teens in this challenge."

What is the Agency Doing Now?

Now that you know that JYP Entertainment is going to do this audition "session" on April 5, 2014, the plans on what the agency will do is that they are looking to bring two more K-Pop groups which are going to be males as well females. The name of this male group is going to be named, 5Live. As for the female group, it is going to be comprised of six members which the names has not been announced yet; once this news comes out, KpopStarz will let you know. But, there is information that JYP Entertainment's new female group is going to be named 6Mix and will be showing their beautiful faces on the month of April. News media Allkpop featured an article on February 18about this new female group. One insider revealed, "There is a lot of expectations for the new line up, including the recently debuted Got7 and the girl group 6Mix, which will debut in April. This year, it appears that the improvement of the diversification and profitability of overseas sales organization will bring out much greater results."

JYP Entertainment already debuted their new male group GOT7 and they are receiving numerous love amongst the females. From love letters to calls, GOT7 and their recent single, "Girls Girls Girls" is one that is a great song for their debut. GOT7 are not disappointing the agency.

One Group are Making Their Return

There is one male group that is coming back onto the K-Pop music industry. Does "Can You Feel My Heartbeat" ring a bell? Also, "Again and Again?" This two songs are from 2PM and they are going to make their return. Month of April is when they are making their return and fans cannot wait. This is another group that has not been seen on-stage for months. Definitely, it is time for a new single as well album from them.

Speaking of album, South Korean news media Osen featured an article on February 26 regarding 2PM planning as well "on the process of working on a new album." The date on-which they are planning to release their new album is before summer. One JYP representative said, "[2PM] are preparing for their comeback, but there are a lot of things they still need to do like fine-tuning the schedule" which the representative told Osen. Then the representative further explained, "Our goal is to have a comeback in the early half of the year." For Sports Seoul, another JYP official said, "It is true 2PM is currently working on selecting songs, but we have not yet decided on the title track or the specific time period for the comeback." So, there are dates and months getting thrown out. Hopefully, their agency makes an announcement on when 2PM is really releasing their album.
