Big Bang's Seungri Cast In Korean Drama ‘Angel Eyes’

Big Bang's Seungri is going to making an appearance on Korean television - and this time, it's not for entertainment or variety shows.

Seungri will appear on SBS's upcoming weekend drama, "Angel Eyes".

One of the producers stated that Seungri showed up to the script reading and met up with the other actors Kang Ha Neul, Lee Sang Yoon, and Koo Hye Sun. The script reading was finished in a good mood.

Seungri will play Teddy Suh, a 119 rescue worker. Teddy Suh came to Korea from America to work for the rescue team. He speaks perfect english with a bit of Texan southern accent while speaking Korean with a heavy Choong Chung Do accent, which makes his peers laugh. The character appears to provide comic relief throughout the drama.

This is Seungri's first appearance in a Korean drama. After debuting in 2006 with Big Bang, Seungri has not performed outside of Big Bang's musical performance and his solo album. He did, however, appear in the Japanese real-action film of "Kindaichi Shyonen no Jikenbo (Kindachi Case Files)".

"Angel Eyes" will be about a man and a woman who meet 12 years after leaving each other. It was written by "Boys Over Flowers" writer Yoon Ji Ryuk and will be produced by Choi Moon Suk PD.
