Girls' Generation Takes a Photo with Katy Perry

News media Popdust featured an article regarding Girls' Generation taking a picture with Katy Perry. Both Katy Perry and Girls' Generation performed at the "U-EXPRESS LIVE 2014" which was at Japan. Taeyeon from Girls' Generation posted the photo on her Instagram account. The status that she put for the photo was "We had fun unnie!" she said. "Let's meet again sometime."

2NE1 and Girls' Generation Battle it Out

Billboard featured an article about the battle of Girls' Generation and 2NE1. Competition is going to start heating up as the two are releasing their albums "within days." There are predictions that 2NE1's new album titled "Crush" will "sell around 4,000 copies." On the other side, Girls' Generation's album titled "Mr.Mr" might "sell 3,000." Which artist will be at the top? Can it be possible if 2NE1 and Girls' Generation "break records?"

What Happened in February 2014

News media PopMatters had numerous comebacks. So, PopMatters featured an article regarding K-Pop stars that made their returns as well what happened on the month of February. B.A.P's single "1004 (Angel)" was a single that came out on February 3, 2014. The single, "1004 (Angel)" is a "melodramatic song" regarding on "lost love." The beat of the song is great because it will definitely make you get up and dance.

Ga-In's new single "Truth or Dare" was her substitute because her other single, "Fxxk U" was banned by not being shown on public television in Korea. The song is about "rumors" that are being said to her. Ga-In calls out the people by saying, “It’s so strange, when you’re in front of me you can’t say anything / But you talk a lot behind my back." The single was compared to Robert Thicke's "Blurred Lines;" though it is much better by having "adventurous chords and arrangements." Sunmi made her return by bringing out the "Full Moon" out. "Full Moon" is one that you can say, "catchy and fun." Sunmi is the not the only female in this music video, Lena is too. With a dark and sexy concept to it, Sunmi is a vampire for her new single. Sexy is the theme by her shaking her hips as well spreading her legs while covering the middle section. She follows the route of sexy, though does it professionally.

The greatest band in South Korea CNBLUE comes out with a new single titled, "Can't Stop." The opening of the music is by a "piano ballad" that has "sentimental strings." Included with this strings is Yonghwa's awesome voice that flows well with the piano. Then, the song slowly increases from slow to fast tempo by the repetition of "Can't Stop." The song is a hit and one that CNBLUE fans will enjoy listening. On the music video, the storyline is about Yonghwa being depressed about "his lost love." Yonghwa then let's his imagination wonder by thinking that she is on the "other side of his mirror." When the video is over, Yonghwa "smashes a chair through the mirror" by "going to her." This is where Yonghwa makes the viewers think on what happens next through interpreting.

Finally, Girls' Generation makes their anticipated return on the month of February by releasing "Mr.Mr." The song, if your familiar with the girls other singles, is always a hit. "Mr.Mr" on the other hand, is kind of "disappointing." The single is produced by the Underdogs which has a "silky electro-R&B style." The repetition of "Mr.Mr" will definitely stay in your head which is said numerous times. Story of the song is that the girls want a man that will take the lead by being the masculine one; a "take charge" type of guy. The lyrics is "I want someone to take the lead." What is amusing though is that it is the opposite, the girls are the ones taking charge.

Soyou and Sunmi Ranks at the Top of the Leader board this week

Popdust featured an article regarding which idols are at the top of the leader board this week. Plus, other candidates that are ranked. Topping at the top this week is once again Soyou and Jung Gi Go for their single, "Some." Following behind the duo is Sunmi for her single, "Full Moon." The article goes further on to explain what other stars are ranked this week. Park Ji Yoon is ranked number twelve for her single, "Beep." Her other single "Inner Space" is at one hundred twenty-two. The underrated group Ladies' Code are ranked number fourteen which shot up nineteen spots. "Hate You" which is their other single, is ranked at number thirteen.

The angels of AOA as well Girl's Day are still ranked on the charts by AOA being ranked number sixteen and Girl's Day at seventeen. Ga-In on the other hand, drops to number twenty for her single, "Truth or Dare." The ladies of Stellar are ranked thirty-five by climbing five spots for their new single, "Marionette."

Lastly, T-ara did a "collaboration" with Cho Young Soo for a single titled, "First Love" which ranks at number forty-seven. After School's "collaboration" with Brave Brothers song titled "Week," which is at forty-eight.

9 Reasons to Love 2NE1's New Album

American news media Fuse TV, explained nine reasons why people should love 2NE1's new album, "Crush."

1) 2NE1 are "returning to their roots" as the single, "I Am the Best" is included in the album. Their music video has "nearly 86 million YouTube views." This single is really popular.

2) The song "Come Back Home" is a brand-new song from them. The song has a "bouncy beat" that has a similarity to Rihanna's song, "Man Down." Message of the song is that the girls are sad about their lover leaving and wants him to return; which the song then changes from slow to a "heavy trap beat."

3) "Four Music Videos" and 2NE1 has already "more than half a billion views on their YouTube channel." Though, there are going to be four videos that 2NE1 fans get to enjoy watching. There is going to be one for "Come Back Here", "Unplugged", "Gotta Be You", and "Happy." Be sure to watch look out for these four new videos!

4) Has the "potential to sell a lot." Their new album "Crush" rapidly went on the "Top 10" for "iTunes." Not only this, but the singles of "Come Back Here", "Crush", and "MTBD" are also climbing. There album has potential for people to purchase the album which will hopefully be numerous sells.

5) Will "tug your heartstrings" as well "throw your hands up." Their single "Happy," manages to "convey heart-wrenching concepts" by still having a "feel-good vibe." This song will definitely be one that you can blast and "roll your windows down" on.

6) R&B.

There is definitely great R&B heard throughout the different singles on this album. The songs that definitely has an R&B beat are "Good to You" and "Baby I Miss You." So, take a listen to those two.

7) CL Sings Solo for "MTBD"

CL sings solo for the single "MTBD" as this can be played loud by turning it up. This single will get your day started right.

8) "Scream" is Sung in Korean. This single was released in Japan on 2012 in Japan. Now the single is in Korean which you will be able to sing it in the original language. The song is powerful as well "fierce."

9) "Unplugged version" for "Come Back Home" will be the ending of this single by being the last track. You will hear all of the members voices as it will be an "acoustic" one. You will hear Bom's "powerful belts", CL's "charismatic rapping", Sandara's "sweet crooning", and Minzy's "strong" but "still-maturing vocals." This will show why 2NE1 has numerous fans globally. The event is going to occur at Austin, Texas and the K-Pop stars that will be attending are 4Minute's HyunA and Jay Park. The date on when they are going to perform is on March 11, 2014! With the success of last year, this year is hoping for another with this two idols representing the K-Pop industry. Who will be attending?
