SISTAR's Bora will be trying her hand at traditional acting in the drama "Doctor Stranger".

An entertainment rep revealed on the 3rd that SISTAR's Bora has officially been cast in SBS' new drama "Doctor Stranger".

In the drama, Bora plays Lee Chung Ee, a woman who escaped from North Korea. She refers to Park Hoon (played by Lee Jong Suk) as an older brother in a sort of boyish way, but in actuality she has a crush on him.

Bora debuted with SISTAR in 2010. Since then, she's appeared on various entertainment programs. She's had previous acting experience in SISTAR's music videos, but this will be her first time acting in an official role. She'll be the second member of the group to become an actress, following in the footsteps of fellow group member Dasom.

The drama will feature Bora, Lee Jong Suk, Park Hye Jin, Jin Se Yeon, and Kang So Ra, and will air its first episode in April.
