Michael Schumacher Injury Update: How Close Is The F1 Legend To Waking Up? Manager Says He’s Showing ‘Small, Encouraging Signs’

Michael Schumacher, who has been in an induced coma more than two months after suffering a brain injury while skiing accident along French Alps, is showing "small, encouraging signs" to give his family confidence that he will "wake up," CNN has reported.

This is the most beautiful news that the world has received ever since the day the Formula One legend hit his head after falling while skiing. The report was released by CNN on Wednesday citing Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm as the source.

"We are and remain confident that Michael will pull through and will wake up," Kehm said.

"There sometimes are small, encouraging signs, but we also know that this is the time to be very patient."

Although glad about the development, the manager said that she and the seven-time world champions family and friends are aware that it will take time before the 45-year old German gain consciousness.

"Michael has suffered severe injuries," added Kehm. "It is very hard to comprehend for all of us that Michael, who had overcome a lot of precarious situations in the past, has been hurt so terribly in such a banal situation.

"It was clear from the start that this will be a long and hard fight for Michael. We are taking this fight on together with the team of doctors, whom we fully trust. The length of the process is not the important part for us."

Kehn also asked for respect from the public making allegations that Schumacher already passed away. Last month Grenoble Hospital where Schumacher is admitted was forced to reply to news that they were just covering everything up about Schumacher's real condition. These rumors claimed that the racing icon is already dead.

"The hospital denies that Michael Schumacher has died," the statement made by the doctors from the hospital reads.

"This phase can take a long time which, much to our regret, can lead to many misinterpretations," said Kehm.
