Kendall dropped Jenner from her last name as she walked the runway of the luxury brands during the Fashion Week in London, Paris and New York. Is she embarassed about Bruce Jenner's reported sex change?

Kim Kardashian, however, told Huffingtonpost, that the reason behind Kendall dropping her Jenner last name was because she wanted to make it on her own. She dismissed rumors that the 18-year-old is riding on the coattails of the fame of her famous half-sisters to launche her modeling career.

"She went and auditioned, and she just goes by the name of Kendall, hoping that people won't think that she gets any [handouts]," she said at the sidelines of the DASH Miami opening on March 12.

Kim Kardashian said that Kendall Jenner "works her butt off."

"She just goes to casting after casting. I'm so proud of her that she -- for her first Fashion Week -- was able to achieve all the shows she was able to walk in. She's living her dream and it's so inspiring to watch her," the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star said.

Kendall earlier confessed to Grazia Daily that her fashion walk debut was nerve-wracking.

"I was a bit nervous but to be honest, I was less nervous than expected," she said. "I was really comfortable with the environment and the people around me so I felt really good about it."

Clearly, Kendall dropping Jenner from her professional name has nothing to do with the rumors of Bruce Jenner's sex change.

Bruce Jenner's sex change rumors were prompted by the drastic change in the former Olympian's appearance following his split from momager Kris Jenner. He was sporting a ponytail and long manicured fingernails as shown from the recent "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" episode.

The rumors hit a new high when it was reported that he underwent an operation to shave his Adam's apple. Radar Online said that it's a precursor to having a sex change.
