JYP: “Sunye as Wonder Girls? Still Discussing”
Concerning Sunye's five year-mission trip to Haiti, JYP Entertainment stated that Sunye's membership in Wonder Girls is still up in the air.
In an interview with OSEN on the 18th, staff added that "nothing is set yet".
JYP Entertainment made an official statement, claiming that all of the proceeds made from Sunye's appearance in a cafe advertisement will go to the establishment of Whitestone Global, an NGO that will send Sunye on her mission to Haiti.
Previously, Sunye has announced the beginning of her "second life through missions and establishment of an NGO": "My husband and I will leave to Haiti this July for 5 years. We are still discussing future plans".
Sunye claimed that her role as a celebrity will still continue within the context of her goal.
Meanwhile, Sunye married Korean-Canadian missionary James Park last January, and is now residing in Montreal, Canada, to nurse her baby.
