Ashton Kutcher Seeks Wedding Approval From Mila Kunis’ Father! ‘Two And A Half Men’ Star Asks Permission Before Marriage Proposal

Ashton Kutcher's wedding to Mila Kunis has the blessings of her father as the "Two and A Half Men" star made sure of it when he first asked permission before the formal marriage proposal.

People reported that Ashton Kutcher talked with her father around the Christmas holidays before going to Mila Kunis for the marriage proposal.

"He asked for Mark's blessing to marry her. It was important to Ashton to be respectful and traditional. This is the real thing for him and he wants to do it all right," a source close to the couple told People.

Ashton Kutcher's wedding proposal came as a surprise to those who knew the couple during the heydays of "That '70s Show" because as one insider said, they were not on friendly terms with each other.

Although the show went on to run for eight years, both Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis rarely hanging out.

Per Radar Online, an insider said: "Everyone shakes their head over the romance. Ashton and Mila were absolutely not friends during much of the making of 'That '70s Show.' In fact, they couldn't stand working together."

So being from "never close on the set" to actually being engaged, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have really came a long way.

It was only during Ashton Kutcher's nasty split from former wife Demi Moore that things changed between the couple, and it was Mila Kunis who first called him "to bury the hatchet," Radar said.

"She could see Ashton was going through a tough time and reached out to him," the source added. "They built a solid friendship, which was a new thing for both of them."

According to Us Weekly, Ashton Kutcher's marriage proposal already occurred a month ago even if news about his engagement to Mila Kunis only hit the tabloids recently. The couple only told friends and family members about their engagement.
