Jason Aldean is reportedly in a dating kissing-scandal with Brittany Kerr. The 37-year-old country singer was caught cheating on his wife in September 2012 with "American Idol" alum Brittany Kerr after they were spotted kissing at a bar. 

Representatives for Jason Aldean confirmed confirmed the news to Taste of Country on Monday that the couple began dating after he split from his wife.Aldean filed for divorce last May.

Last year, Aldean opened up to "Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts saying "It's one of those things where, you know, you go out and you're just hanging out. You know, obviously there were things going on in my marriage at the time where it just wasn't really happy. You go out and you kind of let your guard down a little bit and things happen, and unfortunately ... it's tough." 

Speculation that Jason Aldean and Brittanty were dating began after Kerr began appearing backstage at Aldean's concerts. Aldean was photographed kissing Brittany and that led to his divorce. In September, 2012, Jason Aldean was caught on camera kissing American Idol alum Brittany Kerr at a Sunset Strip bar.

At the time, Aldean said it was a drunken mistake that would only happen once. Aldean apologized for the incident on Facebook and said "screwed up."

On Facebook, Aldean wrote "I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar. I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that's the end of the story."

Aldean and Jessica Ussery were married nearly 12 years and had two daughters. The couple tried to make their marriage work after the scandal. But seven months after the kissing scandal, Us magazine reported that Aldean separated from Ussery. The couple filed for divorce in Tennessee shortly after.

In a statement to Us magazine at the time, Aldean said "This is a really tough time for my entire family. Jessica and I have been together since we were teenagers. We've been through a lot of ups and downs over the years as we grew up together as a couple. She will always be important to me because she is the mother of my children, and I know that we will both always make our daughters our No. 1 priority."
