During their debut they were nicknamed "HyunA's group". Even though they were a girl group, the members of 4Minute were mostly considered "handsome" instead of "pretty" by audiences. Unaccustomed to the methodology of entertainment shows, they stuck to the familiarity of the performance stage.

These, and several other misunderstandings, have been circulating the girl group ever since their debut. As a result, 4Minute members Nam Ji Hyun, Heo Gayoon, Jeon Ji Yoon, Kim Hyuna and Kwon So Hyun have decided to directly address these issues. They set to clear out any misunderstandings held by the masses and show their true selves, 6 years after their debut.

TV Report's reporter Kim Ye Na conducted the interview.

Q: Misunderstanding #1: 4Minute lacks speaking/communication skills?

A: HyunA: That is absolutely ridiculous. If you come and talk to us you will realize how that is clearly a misunderstanding.

Q: Misunderstanding #2: 4Minute is too aggressive and uptight?

A: Gayoon: If you judge us based on our looks, then yes, we seem aggressive and display an overall strong aura. This leads people to think that even our personalities are like that. However the staffs at our agency have no problem approaching us and consider us amicable and sociable. This is how we really are. Our parents are disappointed because of this misunderstanding that we're not. Even though being aggressive might prove to be a good accessory in our performances, we will try to show our really selves through entertainment programs.

Q: Misunderstanding #3: 4Minute can't do reality shows?

A: Ji Yoon: There's a reason why we want to do a reality program: we will be able to show our natural selves through the screen. If you get to know us, we are lovely to be around with and friendly. It's a shame that this side of us is completely neglected because audiences determine our personalities through our presence on the stage.

Q: Misunderstanding #4: 4Minute's personalities are not so great?

A: Ji Hyun: Honestly, we are all sort of cautious and introverted when it comes to meeting new people. When we're getting ready to go on a music program broadcast, we hardly make any celebrity friends because of this factor. It's to the point where we're shy to talk to artists that are younger and even older than us. As a group, we want to overcome this trait in order for us to show who we really are.

Q: Misunderstanding #5: The members of 4Minute are bad at exercising?

A: So Hyun: If we were to compete with other people then yes, we are terrible. But if we exercise alone we are pretty good (laughs). In any case, we want to show you guys that we can actually run pretty fast!

Facts about 4Minute revealed by 4Minute:

1.     After her casting in "The Romantic and Idol", Ji Hyun was the highest grossing member.

2.     Initially we tried to make a lot of celebrity friends. However, we realized that after some time there was an evident barrier between them and us that prevented us from getting to know them further. We are the type of people that cherish long friendships. We hope that this year that we will get to establish those.

3.     Gayoon is the member that is the most cautious and shy. Interestingly, she gets along better with people that are way older than her than those around her age.

4.     We all want to have boyfriends. Besides our schedule, this is the one thought that occupies our minds all the time. We are curious as to what it would be like, especially as celebrities.
