Viki Becomes the Foothold of Spreading K-Pop Throughout the World

As K-Pop is leading the hallyu movement around the world it seems Viki has joined the group IT businesses that has embraced the K-Pop movement. This is following the recent footstep of IT companies such as Google/YouTube, Facebook to join hands to work with K-Pop agencies.

VIki announced yesterday has signed a deal with LOEN Entertainment to allow users all around the world access to watch music videos, interview clips and performances from concerts of talented superstars to emerging talent from IU, Drunken Tiger and Brown Eyed Girls, among others.

This announcement was made at Music Matters, the largest music industry even in Asia Pacific. The music videos will be available to users in the United States, Canada, Europe, most countries in Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Viki CEO Razing Hovaghimian shared, “Viki’s mission is to bring down language barriers around great content, and there’s no better way to do it than through music, which is universally loved.”

“Through the alliance with Viki, we’ve established a foothold for spreading K-Pop throughout the world, said Won-Su Shin, the CEO of LOEN Entertainment. “We anticipate that many users can now share their favorite music more conveniently and that global competitiveness of Korean music will be strengthened.”
