The Power of 2NE1: A Month-Long #1 on Music Programs

Girl group 2NE1 has continued their rise to the top as YG's first comeback artist of 2014.

2NE1 received the trophy for 2 consecutive weeks on Mnet's "M Countdown". Their distinct style of music and style captured fans everywhere.

Their comeback was outstanding right from the start. Second album CRUSH placed itself in the top 10 of 10 music charts including Melon, Bugs, Genie, and Olleh Music. The double titles "CRUSH" and "Come Back Home" swept music charts and even entered the top 10 US iTunes abum charts.

2NE1's new album was praised even by the US media; CRUSH rose to #61 on the "Billboard 200", achieving the highest rank in all of K-Pop history and drawing the praise of Fuse TV, Popdust, and foreign media.

CL also participated in the album through songwriting, to the delight of fans. She didn't stop there, however - with G-Dragon, CL featured in DJ Skrillex's album RECESS, which ended up in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. CL is also to appear in Psy's new music video, soon to be out this year. Expectations for CL's international music career are rising.

Off to a good start, "Come Back Home" has been on top of music charts for a month, despite the comeback of legendary artists Lee Sun Hee, Lee Seung Hwan, Lim Chang Jung, and Jo Sung Mo. 2NE1, along with Orange Caramel, remained the only idol artists to remain in the top with the comeback of Bro and hip-hop duo Baechigi.

2NE1 was recently invited to be guests in the season finale of America's Next Top Model. After the Hong Kong concert, they plan to host a concert in Shanghai next month.

YG Entertainment director Yang Hyun Suk stated: "It's only the start for 2NE1".
