Lee Jong Suk Apologizes For Airport Incident, ‘I Didn’t Know It Was A Fan… I Was Wrong And I’m Sorry’

Actor Lee Jong Suk is under scrutiny for having ignored a fan, and he apologized, "I'm sorry and I did wrong." On March 28th Lee Jong Suk posted text titled "Reprimand" on his own fan cafe. Preceding this post, one media posted a photo of Lee Jong Suk at seemingly ignoring a fan that had been waiting with a gift for him at Incheon International Airport, along with the caption "Isn't he ignoring his fan?" and was the center of a controversy.

Lee Jong Suk wrote, "My schedule just ended and I'm now seeing what's been happening. First of all I'm so, so sorry and regretful for shocking you all. It seems like all the words and actions that I've taken until now have been contradicted, and I'm really upset. I'm afraid that everything I do from now on might seem like false actions."

He also said, "Anyway, There's no point in trying to excuse my actions a hundred times, but I wanted to at least explain myself to my fans. Since I'm our company's flagship product, there's usually over-protection, and I'm constantly on edge. There was also some trouble coordinating my schedules in Hong Kong."

He continued, "I didn't see the fan (that was trying to give me a gift), but someone pulled my arm, and I thought for sure that it was my manager, not thinking for a second that it was a fan. Because of all the reporters I was very flustered, and couldn't even control my facial expression. I think it's a fan that I'm seeing for the first time, and I'm so, so sorry and I did wrong. From now on I'll do better."
