Psy's Comeback Said To Be 'On Par With Gangnam Style'

International superstar Psy made a big splash back in the summer of 2012 with his monumental hit song "Gangnam Style" and again in the spring of 2013 with the follow-up track "Gentleman."

Both singles blasted through YouTube, breaking records and starting dance crazes across the globe.

And now Psy is ready to do it all over again.

Psy, who has reportedly been working on the title track for his upcoming seventh album for the past eight months, has finally finished putting on the final touches, and according to Yang Hyun Suk, the CEO of his label YG Entertainment, this new song "is on par with 'Gangnam Style."

In an interview on the KBS 2TV pop culture talk show Entertainment Relay March 29, Yang opened up about many of the artists and actors under his agency - including Psy - and hinted that a comeback was not far off.

"We worked hard for the past eight months and the title track was completed today at 5am," he said. "The things that hadn't worked out in the last eight months were finally resolved this morning."

Yang also explained that the new song was a hands-on effort for both of them. "During the past couple months, I was with [Psy] in the studio and brainstormed with him. To that extent, a song we both like was made."

As for when the world can experience the fruits of Psy's labors, Yang says "soon."

"Since the track is done, once the music video is put together, you will be able to listen to it soon," he said, reiterating vague announcements on the YG Entertainment blog that the comeback is expected sometime in April.

Meanwhile, the song that thrust Psy into the international spotlight, "Gangnam Style," continues to inch closer and closer to the 2 billion views mark on YouTube after becoming the first video in the site's history to reach 1 billion in late 2012.
