Nike Air Penny 6, Penny Hardaway Shoe Collection Expected To For Release This Year; Former Orlando Magic Star And Nike ‘Working On New Shoes’

Nike Air Penny 6, Penny Hardaway Shoe Collection: It has been confirmed that the former third round overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft and Nike are cooking something for sneaker heads as the Penny 6 is hopefully on its way out on the market.

During an interview with Penny Hardaway in Complex, the former Orlando Magic point guard reveals his still great relationship with the shoe brand Nike.

"I have a great relationship. We're still doing contracts and we're working on the Air Penny 6. I'm in a great place, man. Being retired and having not played the game in five or six years and still have shoes coming out in my likeness is a true blessing."

His love for sneakers has never died down even though he hasn't played for a while. While many sneaker heads prefer the foamposite series as one of the favorite among Penny's shoes, the retired NBA player still prefers his first signature shoe over the other.

"My favorite sneaker is the Penny 1. The Penny 1 is an original, man and I loved them from the beginning and other people loved them, too. It was a comfortable shoe and the Penny 1 was definitely my favorite to play in. The Penny II was a close second, though."

With regards to the widely popular foamposites, Penny couldn't really believe how shoe fans would appreciate the series of shoes that was originally released in 1997 but are still widely being looked for today.

"It's a shoe you can wear to play basketball and one that you can wear everyday when you're wearing jeans. I think what makes a really good shoe is something that you can play ball in but also something that you can wear off the court as well. It also helps the kids understand who I was and why I was good enough to have a sneaker named after me. It leads to the discovery of my legacy as a basketball player for kids who didn't get to see me play."
