“Devious Maids” Season 2 Cast Ana Ortiz Finds Family In Lifetime’s Hit Series; Drew Van Acker Leads Celebrities In Broadway Break Thru

"Devious Maids" season 2 cast Ana Ortiz found her second family in the Lifetime hit series. Another cast member, Drew Van Acker, meanwhile is leading the number of celebrities in Braodway Break Thru.

"I thought that after 'Ugly Betty' I would never find another family [among a cast]," Ana Ortiz of "Devious Maids"  season 2 told Latina mag, adding that finding friends in Tinseltown is a "rare thing."

"I come to this set and see these women that have been auditioning against each other for 10 years and now we get to share a project. It gives it a grounding that I love. These are my comadres. I love them to pieces and I lean heavily on them," Ana Ortiz added.

Meanwhile, "Devious Maids" season 2 cast Drew Van Acker will be among the celebrities in the Broadway Break Thru, which is a mentoring program to help the students.

The event will be held in Newton George School just outside his hometown in Philadelphia, buckslocalnews said.

"I'm thrilled to return to my home area, to meet and work with the Broadway Break Thru students," said Drew Van Acker.

Drew Van Acker of "Devious Maids" season 2 will join other celebrities in the summer intensive program workshop such as Ricky Jaime of "So You Think You Can Dance."

In "Devious Maids" season 2, Drew Van Acker plays Remi Delatour, the teenage son of Genevieve and is Valentina's lover. When Remi Delatour found out that his father was a killer, he left Valentina to join a medical mission to Congo. When Valentina found out, she followed him to rekindle the romance.

Created by David Petro, who was a cast director for Disney and Nickelodeon, students in this Broadway Break Thru will take more than 20 classes in various disciplines. In a span of one week, students will write, direct, shoot and edit short feature films, said buckslocalnews.
