The Queen of K-Pop has certainly been busy these days! Korean pop superstar BoA has officially added another impressive item to her list of accomplishments as of April 5 with the premiere of a new Japanese anime Fairy Tail.

Last month it was announced that BoA would be singing "Masayume Chasing", the opening theme song for the new Japanese animated series, which itself is a sequel to the original series that began airing in 2009.

Fans were treated to the popular singer's new song during the opening sequence for the first episode of Fairy Tail that aired on April 5 on TV Tokyo in Japan.

"Masayume Chasing" is a bright, upbeat track that fits well with the fun action scenes for the anime.

BoA has had a long run of success in Japan throughout her 14-year career as a singer.

In 2002, she became the first Korean star to achieve widespread success in the country after the removal of legal barriers which prevented the import and export of entertainment content between South Korea and Japan since the end of World War II.

Her debut Japanese album, Listen to My Heart, was an overwhelming success among Japanese fans and undoubtedly fueled by the 2002 FIFA World Cup jointly held in South Korea and Japan a short while later. Listen to My Heart debuted at number one on the Oricon Charts, and stayed on the charts for an impressive 91 weeks.

Since then, BoA has released six more Japanese studio albums in addition to several compilation and remix albums in Japan.

Between 2003 and 2001, BoA has toured Japan solo a whopping eleven times, which is particularly impressive when considering her native South Korea has only had one opportunity to catch the pop star live by herself with last year's Here I Am domestic tour.

Recently, BoA has extended her fame even further around the world with her first Hollywood film Make Your Move 3D which will open in theaters across the United States on April 18.
