EXO Comes Back And Dominates As Expected

EXO came back to the K-Pop scene and showed off their efforts via a "Comeback Show".

The "Comeback Show" was held in Seoul's Jamsil Stadium on April 15th to showcase EXO's second mini-album, "Overdose." Broadcaster Jun Hyun Moo was the MC of the event. Some 8,000 fans, both Korean and international, gathered for the event. Thousands more were outside the stadium.

Screams filled the stadium as EXO entered the stadium, and the chill of the cool spring night was gone in an instant. White glowsticks filled the air as EXO performed "Wolf" after a brief introduction video. They continued right after with "History". Their performance and their song worked perfectly together.

EXO members then engaged the fans to say their welcome. Xiumin greeted the fans personally, and Chen asked the fans to cheer them on. Luhan told the fans that he will do his best, and Baekhyun told the fans that they practiced hard for the "Comeback Show". Every word that they spoke was sprinkled in with cheers and screams from the fans.

EXO picked up where they left off with their debut song, "MAMA", and their most popular song, "Growl." The screams and singing of the fans peaked as EXO put on their famous "Growl" performance.

EXO also took the time to sing six of their new songs live for the fans. Immediately following the live performance, EXO was asked where they would go for a date if they started dating. Chanyeol stated that he would go to EXO Planet. Xiumin pointed toward the fans and said, "Where else would I go?" and Sehun agreed, saying, "I'd bring her to an EXO concert." Lay said he would take her to his music studio.

After the interview time, EXO performed their new song "Run". "Run" is a pop-dance song about travelling to another star with a mysterious girlfriend. It has a fantasy/fairy tail type of appeal. EXO's vocals and energetic performance added to the appeal of the song. The finale was the song was decorated by falling flower pedals.

EXO also revealed the music video for their title song, "Overdose". Their perfect dance moves were impeccable, and the one-take filming method really highlighted the choreographic harmony of all 12 members of EXO.

"Overdose" was written by hitmaker Kenzie and world-class producers The Underdogs who produced for international superstars such as Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, and Chris Brown. The lyrics tell of a man who considers his love like an addictive drug that he constantly overdoses on.

EXO's live performance of "Overdose" was powerful and passionate. They performed in black bottoms and white tops. They performed difficult choreography with ease. It was a perfect performance.

After they finished all of their performances, EXO told the fans, "It was refreshing to have a showcase for a new album. This was our first showcase in two years. We will make 2014 great for our fans. Although we are performing as unit groups, we are planning on several special stages on music programs where we will all perform together. Don't be disappointed that we won't all be in Korea; instead, cheer for our Chinese performances as well! Thank you and we love you!"

EXO has previously let known that they will divide up their group into two unit groups, with EXO-K remaining to perform in Korea while EXO-M travelling to perform in China. The mini album "Overdose" includes the title song "Overdose" as well as "Run," "Thunder," "Love Love Love," and "Moonlight".

EXO will perform their comeback stage on KBS's "Music Bank", MBC's "Show! Music Core" and SBS's "Inkigayo."
