CJ E&M canceled their global label launch press conference scheduled for today.

On April 18, CJ E&M staff stated: "The CJ Victor global label launching press event is canceled. We apologize for the sudden cancellation".

The staff also continued, "We decided that a press conference would not be appropriate in light of the Sewol ferry incident leading to the death of many. We pray that more students and missing persons would be rescued".

The CJ E&M & VICTOR global label press conference was scheduled for April 18 at Yeoido's IFC M PUB with CJ E&M music director An Suk Joon, director of Japan relations Yoo Young Min, Japanese vice-president of VICTOR Yonemitsu, Jellyfish Entertainment's Hwang Se Joon, and group VIXX.

CJ E&M also canceled the press conference of Olive TV's "Master Chef Korea 3" scheduled on the same day.

Meanwhile, the cancellations of the two press conferences are due to the sinking of the Jeju-headed ferry Sewol on April 16. Among the 475 boarded on the ferry, it is reported that 179 survived, 25 found dead, and 271 missing.
